You will need:

  • 2 dl black sticky rice (plain sticky rice is also suitable)
  • 4 dl of water
  • 1 mango, chopped
  • Coconut flakes
  • 400 g can of Thai Choice coconut cream Thai Choice Coconut Cream

  • 200 g of Thai Choice sweetened condensed coconut cream Thai Choice Sweetened Condensed Coconut Cream

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar
  • A pinch of salt

Black sticky rice (glutenious rice) is a classic dessert in Thai cuisine. When combined with sweet coconut cream and mango, a truly addictive flavor combination is formed. A little sweetened condensed coconut cream can be mixed into the coconut cream, so you add both sweetness and creaminess to the sauce.

Serves: for 4-6

Preparation:

Rinse the rice under running water. Soak covered with water for 4-6 hours. Drain the rice in a sieve and rinse. Put the rice in a saucepan and add 4 dl of water. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat and then simmer until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed. Remove from the stove and cool.

To prepare the sauce, put all the ingredients needed for the sauce in a saucepan and heat while stirring until the sauce thickens a little, but do not boil. Allow to cool to room temperature.

When serving, put rice in a bowl, pour coconut cream on top and decorate with mango pieces. Add coconut flakes as well.
